  • YPN South Gardens - Volunteer Work Party

     

    Join us for weekly work parties at 5:15 pm on Tuesdays (on-going) at the South Gardens for planting, weeding, and socializing. 

    There are four beds available for rent at the South End (Needham and Irwin) and a few at the North End Gardens (Turner Road and Island Hwy). Beds are $45 for the season, or $30 if you volunteer with the beds we are growing for the food bank. These beds are available to anyone in the community, not just YPN members. Please contact gardens@ypnanaimo.com for more information.

    We'll be hosting guest speakers from various sectors in the Malaspina Room of The Coast Bastion - all speaking on "The State of Nanaimo." Sponsored by the NEDC.

The YPN Events team creates a light, fun venue for our members to meet, socialize and network. At least 4 times a year the YPN hosts a major social event. If you have an idea for an interesting social event, contact the YPN Events team.

  • Happy Hour at Fairwinds Golf Club

    Celebrate Friday on the patio overlooking the ninth hole of the golf course (or inside, depending on weather). Bring your business cards and enter a draw to win two rounds of golf! Fairwinds is only a 15 minute drive north of Nanaimo.

    Lunch and Learn - Financing for Your Business

    Adam Fraser from Coastal Community Credit Union and Courtenay Ndiaye from Business Development Bank of Canada will be discussing financing for small and medium-sized businesses, and will talk about opportunities at different phases in the business cycle.
