Message from the President
Thank you for taking the time to read the Young Professionals of Nanaimo’s first quarterly newsletter. This is intended to inform our members, sponsors and the community at large of what we have accomplished as an association over the last 3 months, as well, it looks forward to see what is in store.
Our Summer 2010 Newsletter displays the YPN summer event calendar and takes a quick look back at what has happened during Spring 2010.
The YPN experienced some dramatic ups and downs over this past quarter. We lost a close friend and leader with the passing of Blair McKinnon. Blair played an integral part in the creation and development of the YPN, and is deeply missed by us all.
In May, the YPN also began its second year with the addition of many new members. We finished our train station fundraising efforts, elected a new executive team and appointed a new advisory board.
